She was predeceased by: her parents, William Grover and Purnell Pope Pennell; her husband Joshua Swindell Taylor; her daughters, Rachel Wood and Ann Hooks; and her grandson Anthony Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vonnell Lee (Linwood), Alene Creech (Keith), Patricia Pinkham and Susie Coley (Shelton). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous great & great, great grandchildren.
