He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Almond and Alice L. Almond; and his sister Pauline Tucker of Albemarle. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Christine Furr; his son Jeff Almond (Betsy) of Mooresville, NC; his grandchildren, Matt Kemo (Ashli) of Newland, NC and Emily Almond of Raleigh; and his great grandchild Covin Kemo.
