It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Ray Smith of Locust, North Carolina, born in Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on July 21, 2020, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Danny Boyce Smith and Sandra Kay Hartsell Smith; and his brothers, Chris Smith and Keith Smith. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Griffin Smith; and his children, Riley Faith Smith and Hunter Ray Smith.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Melissa Smith : Riley & Hunter College Fund at any State Employees Credit Union or mailed to Locust Police Police Department, PO Box 190, Locust, NC 28097.
