He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee Huneycutt, Sr. and Lilly Talbert Huneycutt; and his siblings, Kenneth Huneycutt and Joyce Currie. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Broadaway Huneycutt; his children, Wesley Huneycutt (Jaime) of Gastonia and Jessica Croson (Rick) of Wilmington, NC; his grandchildren, Jillian, Jayleigh Huneycutt, Mae and Zeke Croson; and his brother David Huneycutt of Linwood, NC..

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie at 960 N 1st St. Albemarle, NC 28001.
