With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Smith Davis (Locust, North Carolina), who passed away on November 3, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sister Fannie Mae Smith Russell; and her great grandchild Jordan Keith Basinger. She is survived by: her sister Mary Catherine Smith; her husband Johnny B. Davis; her daughters, Lorraine Davis Byrd of Concord, NC. and Patsy Davis Beeker of Concord, NC.; her granddaughters, Susan Byrd of Concord, Elizabeth Byrd Basinger of Albemarle, Kelly Beeker Durkee (Scott) of St. Clair Shores, MI and Jennifer Beeker of Ferndale, MI; her great grandchildren, Nathan Basinger (Caitlin), Jonathan, Allison and Meredith Durkee; and her pet Cassie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory be made to Second Street Presbyterian Church, 105 Hearne St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
