With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lisa Garris Dixon of Locust, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2024 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Lisa Garris farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Lisa Garris is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Dixon; and her daughter Amanda Christine Putnam. She is survived by: her children, Ethan Billings (Farrah) and Katherine H. Byars; and her siblings, Jason R. Smith, Jody R. Smith (Maria), James A. Smith, Adam R. Garris (Kristi) and Heather S. Hartsell (James). She is also survived by grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland (13575 Broadway Ave, Midland, NC 28107). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Cemetery (305 S Central Ave, Locust, NC 28097).
