She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Massey and Grace Louisa Massey; her husband Kenneth Griffin; and her siblings, Marilyn Somers, E. W. Massey and Billy Massey.

She is survived by: her daughters, Katheryn Moorefield (Lynn) of Lexington, NC and Marilyn DeVido (Bruce) of Waxhaw, NC; her brother Robert Massey; her sisters-in-law, Carrie Massey and Mildred Massey; her grandchildren, Katie Aliff (Justin Hatley) and Morgan Overman; her great grandchildren, Maddie Hatley and Mason Hatley; her stepgrandchildren, Andi Watkins and Brant Moorefield (Hazel); and her stepgreat-granddaughter Cindy Woodleif (Mark). She is also survived by mother to her children and grandmother to many grandchildren.
