It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel Kenneth Smith (Locust, North Carolina), who passed away on April 18, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Willie Faye Love Smith; his sons, Herman Smith (Teresa) of Concord, Justin Smith (Joann) of Locust, Jeffrey Smith of Locust and Dale Stancil (Charlene) of Locust; and his siblings, Jim Smith of Monroe, Ronnie Smith of Mt. Pleasant, Linda Smith Long of Midland and Mary Helms. He was also cherished by 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
