He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruby Burris Hatley and Grover Hatley; his wife Hilda Linker Hatley; his daughter April H. Kennedy; his stepdaughter Amanda C. Hartman; and his sister Karen Simpson. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and two nephews.
