He is survived by: his fiancée JoAnn Huneycutt of Stanfield; his children, Missy Thomas (Mark) of Stanfield and Derrick Rushing of Oakboro; and his granddaughters, Gracie Thomas, Jennifer Smith, Madison, Gage Smith, Sissy and Wanda Brafford.
