It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Starnes Sr. of Locust, North Carolina, who passed away on March 27, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Starnes and Gladys Starnes (Spittle); and his sister Shella Burkett. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Stacie Starnes, Donnie Starnes (Lynne), Bobby Starnes (Sherry) and Rusty Starnes (Lynn); his stepsons, Dane (Donna) and Darryl (Melissa); and his siblings, Judy Starnes Horne and Billy Wayne Starnes. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 and to First Baptist Church of Locust 320 S Central Ave, Locust, NC 28097.
