With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Benton Howard of Locust, North Carolina, who passed away on July 24, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Lee Howard and Ara Ellen Howard; his wife Lou Eva Turner Howard; and his siblings, Grover, Lindsay, J. B. and Zola Medlin.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Hatley (Shorty) of Locust, Benny Howard (Tammy) of Oakboro and Jeff Howard (Connie) of Norwood; his sister Rachel Collins of Concord; his brother-in-law Bill Turner (Sylvia) of Oakboro; his grandchildren, Jimmy Hatley (Sherrie), Amy Honeycutt (Scott), Dustin Howard (Lisa), Candace Sutton (Wayne), Robert Howard, Janna Brown (Jamin) and Derek Lambert (Hallie); and also Julie Kiker. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
