He is survived by: his wife Elsie Newsome Gaither; his daughter Valerie Gaither Waller (Charlie); his siblings, Jean Wells, Ellen Draper and David Gaither; and his grandchildren, Alyson Pennetta, Kirstyn Waller and Austin Mitchell.
The family asks that any memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
