He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Elmore Yancey. He is survived by: his daughter Marla Fleming (Tony); his sister Ann Yancey Gay; his brother-in-law Alfred Elmore (Christine); and his nieces and nephews, Donna Edwards (Tim), Ginger Finch, Michael Gay (Diane) and Russ Elmore.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be directed to Enterprise Baptist Church or to Camp Willow Run.
