She was predeceased by: her parents, Freddie Allen and Elizabeth "Betty" Choplin Woodlief. She is survived by: her husband James T. Owen, Jr.; her children, C. J. Spence, Vanessa Southerland and Calvin Sanford (Ashley); her siblings, Wanda Gaither, Ruthanne Stevenson (Russell) and Allen Woodlief (Patricia); and her grandchildren, Madison Southerland, Jordan Roberts and Jayden Roberts.
