It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Odell Updike (Littleton, North Carolina), who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelford Odell Updike and Eliza Houseman Updike; his grandson Robert Updike; and his sisters, Mable Conner and Mary Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Michele Updike; his sons, Kenneth Odell Updike, Jr. and Garland Wayne Updike (Gloria); his granddaughters, Jessica Ferguson and Theresa Creech (Kasey Creech); his great grandchildren, Skyler Creech, Penelope Creech, Cameron Updike, Lille Mae Updike and Luna Lynne Updike; and his sister Janice Jones (Jay Jones).
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lake Gaston Baptist Church (128 Lynwood Rd, Littleton, NC 27850). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lake Gaston Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
