He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey T. Hawkins Sr. and Pauline Butts Hawkins. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Caleb Ballew (Kourtney) of Huntsville, AL, Olivia Ballew of Boulder, CO, Elias Ballew of Southern Pines, NC, Holden Strickland (Heather) of Roanoke Rapids, Kate Hawkins of Norlina and Will Hawkins of Aurelian Springs.
