She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Arrington and Lucille Arrington; and her siblings, Edward Arrington, Melvin Arrington and Ruth Arrington Williams.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Wayne Mitchell; her brother Rodney McKinley Arrington (Catherine); her daughters, TeRae Lynnette Mitchell and Teneise LaShea Mitchell Ellis (Hassan); her granddaughters, Arissa Jenae Mitchell, Jordan Elaine Ellis, Naomi Desiree Ellis and Stefanie Antoinette Brown Wright (Jason); her nephew Stephen Wayne Williams; and her nieces, TeLaza Shavon Arrington and Lisa Michelle Arrington Allen (Maximillian). She is also survived by other brothers and sisters in love, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel (6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1268 W 38th St, Norfolk, VA 23508).
