He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Dorsey and Essie Johnson Dorsey; his former wife Darie Brown Dorsey; and his brother-in-law Edward. He is survived by: his brother Keith Wilson; his wife Thelma High Dorsey; his sons, Melvin Hyke (Eve) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Kelvin Hyke (Bertina) of Rocky Mount, NC; his stepchildren, Kimberly Travis (Michael), Pamela High, Beverly Vincent (Wayne), Tracy Garner (Victor), Ahmed High (Kimberly) and Dwayne High (Tammy); his sisters, Iris Holloway (Harris), Cordelia Thomas (Earnest) and Catherine Hamlett; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Powell (Michael), Rhonda Turner (Randy) and Karen Squire (Tony). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.
