He is survived by: his children, Shelly Whitney of South Carolina and Dennis Whitney of Chicago; his siblings, Peggy Horne of Macon, Gary Whitney of Virginia, Harold J. "Jay" Whitney of Macon and David Whitney of Kentucky; and his friend Simona Reyes. He is also survived by four grandchildren; one great grandson.
