With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Victor Lee Thompson of Linwood, North Carolina, who passed away on July 28, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fleet Thompson and Nolie Ross Thompson; his brothers, William Ashley Thompson (Nellie) and Tyler Ross Thompson (Virgie); his siblings-in-law, Dee Thompson and Carmen Smith; and his grandson Zachary Kyle Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Thompson; his children, Johnny Thompson (Ellen) and Cynthia Hammock (Steve); his brother Phil Thompson; his grandchildren, Christy Morrow (Eric), Amy Kniaz (Greg) and Cassie Derflinger (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Lauren Leonard, Kate and Owen Kniaz; his grandchildren, Brooks, Parker, Ruby Thompson, Joshua, Este, Jonny and Isla Derflinger; his great great grandchildren, Konnor and Kyle Hurd; his sister-in-law Sylvia Smith; and also Michael Hurd. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Jerusalem Baptist Church at 3203 US Hwy 601 S, Mocksville, NC 27028.
