He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Blackwell; his sons, Monroe A. Blackwell, II of Spencer, NC, Shimika Nyree Gaither and Norcoss; and his brothers, Graylin Blackwell (Marie) and Michael Blackwell (Samantha).
