It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jane Brookshire Hamilton of Linwood, North Carolina, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Bartley Brookshire and Alta Brookshire; her husband Larry Dennis Hamilton Sr.; and her siblings, Glenn Brookshire, Gladys Brookshire, Betty Blake and Barbara Sigmon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Moren (Emery) of Lexington, Debbie Scott of Linwood, Gayle Everhart of Linwood and Sandra Caudill (Herb) of Linwood; her stepson Dennis Hamilton (Tessa); her adoptive son Shaun Hamilton of Lexington; her stepdaughters, Tammy Hege (Tracy) and Bonita Sink; and her sister Lucille Mills of Lexington. She is also survived by several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church (214 Andrew Sink Rd, Lexington, NC 27295). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
