She was predeceased by: her parents, Obsy Watkins and Lola Boykin Watkins; her husband Timothy Walton; her daughter Shannon Stirewalt; and her grandchildren, Caroline Stirewalt and Michael Stirewalt.
She is survived by: her children, James Walton of Salisbury, Darlene Adkins (Jeff) of Lexington and Cyndi Wright of Darlington, SC; her siblings, Gary Watkins of China Grove and Margie Cook of Concord; and her pets, Jill and Patches. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.
