He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jefferson Davis and Bertha Watkins Davis; his wife Nettie Yvonne Browning Davis; his daughter Dawn Yvonne Calhoun; his siblings, William "Sonny" Davis and Jean Myers; and his granddaughters, Sophia Calhoun of Cullowhee and Sunny Calhoun of Winston Salem.
