We are sad to announce that on May 27, 2020, at the age of 73, William C. Tate Md II (Linville, North Carolina), born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Lawson Tate and Margaret Thompson Tate; and his father-in-law Ed Smith. He is survived by: his child Charter; his wife Donna Smith Tate of Linville, NC; his daughters, Melissa Tate Parker of Jacksonville, FL and Angela Tate Tuck (Bill) of Banner Elk, NC; his stepdaughters, Kari Joyce Brown (Daniel) of Boone, NC and Ashley Joyce Jones (Adam) of Deep Gap, NC; his siblings, Susan Tate Carter (Lynn) of Banner Elk, NC, Anne Tate Bergman (Russ) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Johnny Tate of Sugar Mountain, NC, David Lawson Tate of Banner Elk, NC and Bobby Tate (Susie Daniels) of Banner Elk, NC; his mother-in-law Barbara Smith of Valle Crucis, NC; and his grandchildren, Madison, Avery, Campbell, Alden, Daniel, Morgan, Brayden and Kaleigh.
Due to ongoing concerns over large crowds regarding Covid-19, a memorial service for Dr. William C. "Bill" Tate will be held during the month of October, which was his favorite time of the year in Avery County.
