It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marian Hughes Garland (Linville, North Carolina), who passed away on March 6, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husbands, Ralph Garland and Dave Floyd; her siblings, Grace Daniels and Dave Hughes; and her great grandchild Baily Shane Garland.
She is survived by: her parents, Columbus Hughes and Bertha Boone Hughes; her children, Linda King of Linville, NC., Robert Garland (Carolyn) of Linville, NC and Scott Lee Garland (Tim Heschke) of Linville, NC; her stepson Roger Floyd (Freddie) of Jackson, SC; her siblings, Helen Hughes of Linville, NC. and James of Linville, NC.; her grandchildren, Shannon Garland, Shane Garland (Karen) and Tamara Garland; and her great grandchildren, Noah Garland and Dalton Carswell.
