It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace Giles Surles (Linden, North Carolina), born in Cumberland, North Carolina, who passed away on February 27, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Erskine Giles and Maggie Porter Giles; her husband Neill Surles; and her son Jeffrey Surles. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Jones (Paul) and Janet Hagwood (Scott); her daughter-in-law Julie Parker Surles; her sister Jessie Giles Silber; and her grandchildren, Matthew Jones (Lindsay), Michael Jones, Kristen Wood, Rebecca Hackett (Nicky), Tyler Jones and Neill Surles.
