He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Rogers and Betty Richardson; his son Scottie Dale Rogers; and his siblings, Marvin Rogers, Robert Abbott and Helen Holden.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tina Rogers and Amanda Sims (Jason); his grandchildren, Jordon Rogers (Dianna), Justin Rogers, Dustin Sims and Amber Sims; and his brothers, David Rogers and Larry Rogers.
