She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Hill and Emma Ross Hill; her husband Johnson B. Hunter; and her children, Ulysses Hunter and Sheila Hunter Finger.
She is survived by: her children, Johnson B. Hunter, Jr. (Judy) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Billy Hunter (Nelda) of Raleigh, NC, Larry Hunter (Marion) of Lincolnton, NC, Michael Hunter of Lincolnton, NC and Robin Anderson of Rutherfordton, NC; her sisters, Essie Hill Foster of Lincolnton, NC, Mary Alice Jones of Silver Spring and Frances McKee Huff of Temple Hills; and her sister-in-law Nellie Hunter Lofton. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren.
