He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Smith Carr and Minnie Smith Carr; his children, Chris Carr (Shelia) and Felicia Baynard (James); his brother Clay Carr (Pam); his grandchildren, Ashley Carr, Trey Carr, Cassidy Pope and Jami Baynard; and his great grandchildren, Cooper Robinson, Cash Robinson and Kayden Pope.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Cancer Services of Gaston County 306 South Columbia Street Gastonia, NC 28054.
