Vivian Sawyer Hodges Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vivian Sawyer Hodges of Lincolnton, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emily Staples Sawyer and Coston S. Sawyer. She is survived by: her husband Robert Hodges; her children, Fred Dalrymple (Susan) and Emily Shakra (Nick); her stepdaughters, Linda George (DJ), Carol Tester and Karen Willis (Ricky); and her grandchildren, Julie Dalrymple Biggerstaff, Leslie Dalrymple Holland, Bradley Dalrymple, Lauren Shakra Conlin, Ali Shakra Henderer and Nicholas Shakra. She is also survived by great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM at the First Baptist Church (201 E Main St, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
