She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph M. Watson and Lola Mae Wilder Watson; her husband James Playford; and her brother Grady Watson. She is survived by: her daughters, Kim Baker-Niemcyk of Lincolnton and Karen Baker of New York.

Memorials may be made to Lincoln County Hospice.
