With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Valaria Ann Hoyle Hovis (Lincolnton, North Carolina), who passed away on August 9, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Gilbert Hoyle and Minnie Chapman Hoyle; her husband James Elliott "Jim" Hovis; and her children, Duane Hovis and Donna H. Dew. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
