He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Thomas Graff and Barbara June Hawks Gosthnian; his adoptive father Harry "Gus" Gosthnian; and his siblings, John Edward Gosthnian and Dorothy Louise Rolph.

He is survived by: his siblings, Joanna Marie Claflin and Harry "Skip" Gosthnian, Jr.; and his uncle Lyle James Claflin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
