She was predeceased by: her parents, John Fred and Annie Eulalia Mundy Wilson; her husband Reginald "Reggie" Lanier; and her siblings, Melinda Freeman, Kathryn Setzer, Joy Tate, Barbara Huffman, Billy Wilson, Harvey Wilson, Tommy Wilson and Don Wilson.

She is survived by: her son Scott Lanier (Jami) of Manteo; and her grandchildren, Shelby Lanier and Aubrey Lanier.
