She was predeceased by: her parents, W. A. McGinnis and Ellen Bryte McGinnis; and her husband Forest Edward Gilbert, Sr.. She is survived by: her son Forest Edward Gilbert, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC; and her sister Carole Boggs. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces, and great-great nephews and great-great nieces.
