It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Faye Helms Bryant (Lincolnton, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Shirley Faye Helms may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Albert Helms and Mae Smith Helms. She is survived by: her husband Steve Bryant; and her children, Cathey Turner (John) of Westminister, SC and Carl Howard Jr. of Lincolnton, NC. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Southside Baptist Church (1726 Southside Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
