It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sereta Tate Peeler of Lincolnton, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on September 7, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman C. Tate and Minnie Odell Chaney Tate; and her siblings, Herman Tate Jr., Howard Tate, Ila Mae Robbins, Janelle Cook and Yvonne Butler.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Faye Peeler; her children, Marty Peeler of Crouse, NC, Jeremy Peeler (Ashley) of Casar, NC, Karen Taylor (Tim) of Lincolnton, NC, Wanda Seagle (Daniel) of Vale, NC and Pamela Sigmon (Kevin) of Cherryville, NC; her grandchildren, Christopher Taylor, Nathan Taylor (Julie), Jesse Peeler (Elizabeth), Abigail Peeler, Zola Sigmon, Joshua Seagle (Brooke), Sadie Huitt (Gabe), Lathan Peeler and Dessie Peeler; her great grandchildren, Iris Perry, River Seagle and Cyrus Huitt; and her brothers, Dean Tate (Betty) of Ranlo, NC and Bill Tate (Ann) of Gastonia, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
