It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Selma Mary Carter of Lincolnton, North Carolina, who passed away on June 28, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arther McNeely and Everlena Hastings McNeely; and her husband Truman Leonard Carter. She is survived by: her children, Tim Carter (Tonda) of Lincolnton, Ginger Weaver of Lincolnton and Janice Keever of Vale; her sisters, Polly Teague of Lincolnton and Carolyn McEntire of Cherryville; her grandchildren, T. J. Carter (Heather) of Lincolnton, Charlie WIse of Vale, David Wise of Vale and Lauren Barkley (Will) of Hickory; and her great grandchildren, Brady Wise of Vale, Tate Wise of Vale and Willow Barkley.
