She was predeceased by: her mother Trudy Bell Bumgarner; her son Robert Flowers; and her grandson Kaiden Flowers. She is survived by: her father Ronald Gene Bumgarner of Lincolnton; her husband Kenneth Hefner; her daughters, Crystal Dunbar (Toman) of Lincolnton and Caroline Flowers of Lincolnton; her sisters, Anita Blackwell (Andrew) of Lincolnton and Crystal Varner (Bruce) of Lincolnton; her grandchildren, Jasmine Stouffer of Ryan Stouffer, K. J, Brianna Flowers, Tara, William Greenly and Dominic Sutherland; and her great grandchild Jordan "Smiley" Roberts. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
