It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ronald McCarthy (Lincolnton, North Carolina), who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James F. McCarthy, Sr. and Thelma Bolding McCarthy; and his brother James F. McCarthy, Jr.. He is survived by : his children, Stephen (Amy), Mark McCarthy and Tina West (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Trevor McCarthy, Averie McCarthy, Korben Scott, Ayden McCarthy, Elijah Rhyne, Seth West and Taylor West; his siblings, Susan Kiser (Phil), Kathy McRee (Richard), Dr. Amy Sifford and Rev. Jeff McCarthy (Ilene); his aunt Juanita "Toby" Greene; and his adoptive Daughter, (Jessica Queen-Nunley), Adoptive grandchilden (Autumn Queen),(Jaxon Queen.)

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, 4109 Guess Rd, Durham, Nc 27712.

“I’ve known Ron for about 30 years. He was always so kind, generous and a great friend that I will miss. He spoke often about his family and absolutely adored his grandkids. I don’t think he ever let me drive his old Mustang though, (which was probably a smart move!) He was always so thoughtful to me and my family, even gifting me tickets to Madonna just because he knew I loved her, and the musical Wicked for the same reason. He was a great friend and I will miss him 💔”
