He is survived by: his mother Maxine Roberts Robinson of AlbemarleNC; his wife Shelia Ballard Robinson; his children, Alicia Robinson and Ronald "Todd" Robinson of Albemarle; his stepchildren, Justin Caldwell (Sara), Shannon Somolik (Michael) of Kansas, Jackie Caldwell, April Bean of Gastonia and Hope Josey of Denver; and his sister Barbara Gathings (Joey) of Albemarle. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
