He was predeceased by: his father William Junior Brooks; and his brothers, William Jewel Brooks, Sr. and Carrol Dean Brooks. He is survived by: his mother Betty Crotts Brooks; his daughter Lori Dale Brooks of Cherryville; his brothers, Ricky Lee Brooks of Crouse and David Allen Brooks, Sr. (Cynthia) of Lincolnton; and his sister-in-law Sue Brooks of Lincolnton. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
