He was predeceased by: his mother Deborah Caskey Goode. He is survived by: his father Richard Eugene Houk (Debbie) of Lincolnton; his sister Lisa Navey (Ben) of Lincolnton; his stepfather James Goode of Lincolnton; his uncle Billy Caskey of Lincolnton; his niece Elizabeth Falvey (Brian) of Lincolnton; his nephew Ronald Navey (Breezy) of Denver; and his close friend Pam Toth of Lincolnton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
