He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Stallings Baucom; and his grandparents, Willard L., Audrey Baucom, Harvey O. and Ola Mae Stallings.
He is survived by: his father Richard E. Baucom, Sr.; his sister Shelly Baucom Lockman (Shane); his nephew Foster Williamson; and his niece Caroline Williamson. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Fellowship Hall of McKendree Methodist Church (3537 Maiden Hwy, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the McKendree Methodist Church (3537 Maiden Hwy, Lincolnton, NC 28092).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607, to benefit the victims of Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina, reflecting Richie's lifelong commitment to helping those in need.
