He is survived by: his caregivers, Angi, Cathy, Carolyn and Deborah; his wife Tanis Wilson Lanier; his son Scott Lanier (Jami) of Manteo; his grandchildren, Shelby Lanier and Aubrey Lanier; and his brother Stanley Lanier (Brenda) of Lincolnton.
