She was predeceased by : her parents, Inzie Eugene Craig and Essie Rae Clemmer Craig; her husband L. G. "Bobby" Byrd; and her daughter Pamela Reeves. She is survived by : her daughters, Diane Nale of Lincolnton and Amy Reinhardt (Joby) of Hickory; her grandchildren, David Allen Reeves, Jr., Brian Byrd Reeves, Michael Nale (Jada), Wesley Nale (Molly), Elizabeth Deal (Jeff), April Reinhardt and Parker Reinhardt; and her friend Evelyn. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, June 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (2858 NC-150, Lincolnton, NC 28092).
