As we bid Rachel Gilbert farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Rachel Gilbert is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Gilbert and Ethel Rudisill Gilbert; and her husband Lewis Earnel Jones. She is survived by: her children, Steven Lewis Jones (Rhonda) of Lincolnton, Timothy Alan Jones (Angie) of Lincolnton, Angela Jones Boyles (Tony) of Lincolnton and Cathy Jones Smith (Dwight) of Lincolnton. She is also survived by three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
