It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Patricia Irene (Knighton) Roy of Lincolnton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 19, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Leroy and Thema Yvonne Dustin Knighton; her son Everett Roland Roy, Jr. of Shelby; and her brothers, Douglas "Bud" Knighton and Roland "Tink" Knighton.

She is survived by: her daughters, Glenda Henderson (Al) of Lincolnton, Jennifer Roy of Lincolnton and Sharon Stillwell (Frank) of Cherryville; and her daughter-in-law Michelle Roy of Shelby. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many cherished nieces and nephews and cherished friends.
